Global Science Center on Hold

Many within the FBCLP have opposed the construction of the Global Science Center promoted by the Fort Bend Independent School District. Vendor backed board members and Superintendent Jenny have been pushing this project, dismissing the inevitable tax increases that are associated with such endeavors.

Good news! It was announced today in FortBendNow.com that the project will be delayed for the next two years. Although neither the FBCLP nor it's allies, such as FBISD watch, were mentioned in the article, we feel that the efforts of members in opposing this needless waste of taxpayer dollars was fruitful.

The battle is not over, it has just been delayed. Rest assured that the vendor feeders will attempt to encumber the taxpayers again at a later date. It will be necessary to remain vigilant during the next two years to ensure that the corporate welfare feeders do not slide this in during a smoke-filled backroom deal.
